Welcome to the Highland Archive Centre, Bught Road, Inverness.
In addition to bespoke searchroom and repository facilities, the new state of the art £10.5 million centre incorporates an archive Conservation unit and a dedicated Family History Centre. The centre also accomodates the Council's Records Management Service.
The Highland Archive Centre is responsible for collecting, preserving, and making accessible archives relating to the history of the Highlands.
The archives date from the 14th century to the present day.

Wednesday 10am-7.30pm
Thursday 10am-5pm
Friday Closed
The searchroom is available for pre-arranged group visits on Fridays and at weekends.
Services available
The public searchroom in Inverness is open to all, free of charge.
There is access to the public searchroom via stairs or a passenger lift.
Free car parking is available.
