As part of the Highland Archive Service, the Caithness Archive Centre, Wick, is responsible for collecting, preserving and making locally accessible archives relating to the history of the county of Caithness.
The archives date from 1589 to the present day and consist of documents in different formats including charters, minute books, correspondence, maps, photographs and plans.

Services available
The public searchroom in Wick Library is open to all, free of charge.
There is currently no direct disabled access to the searchroom but there is access to the library and archives can be taken there for consultation provided sufficient archive staff are available. Please use the contact details above to enquire about this service.
On street parking is available on Sinclair Terrace.
